Brazil beats Paraguay and qualifies for World Cup

It was a night full of celebrations Tuesday evening in a packed Neo Química Arena in São Paulo. First, there was the narrow 1-0 victory over a tough and well organized defending Paraguay team. Unbeaten in their 9 last qualifiers. The win meant that the Seleção qualified for the 23rd time in a row for the World Cup, remaining the only country on the planet to ever do so. Reason for more festivities was the fact that coach Carlo Ancelotti turned 66 on that same day.
Just before the half-time break it was Matheus Cunha who took advantage of a rare mistake in the normally solid Paraguayan defence. The recently signed Manchester United forward gave Vinícius Júnior a chance he could not miss.
